Piano servicing and repairs

From time to time pianos require more than tuning. Piano servicing may include regulation of the keyboard and action. This allows the piano to play more smoothly and gives the player better control over the sound he produces. Voicing the piano is another important part of servicing. Piano overhauls

Over the years many of the components of a piano wear out and need to be replaced. In the case of a cheaper instrument it may be better value for money to simply replace the whole piano. However, better pianos and especially grand pianos are usually worth overhauling. We at Florian Piano specialise in piano overhauls. Restringing using quality German steel and bass strings does much to revive the tone of an older piano. We also replace worn hammers and other action components with authentic German-made parts by either Abel or Renner. We pay special attention to the voicing of new hammers.
