High-end pianos
Nowadays most pianos are produced in Asia, especially China and Japan. However, the best pianos in the world are still those made in Europe and the country with the strongest tradition is Germany. Yet even in Germany many of the piano factories are now owned by Asian companies.
There remain just a handful of family-owned German pianomakers still in production. We at Florian Piano are honoured to represent three of the most prominent here in Brunei. These are August Förster, Sauter and Steingraeber & Söhne.
The reason why these piano manufacturers have managed to thrive as independent family-owned companies is immediately understood the moment the player touches the keys and the listener hears the sound. Drawing upon almost two centuries of tradition, development and experience these pianomakers have refined hand-crafting techniques and piano designs to produce pianos of individuality, beauty and character.
Pianists and music lovers around the world appreciate the extra effort which these manufacturers go to as they hand-craft their instruments towards perfection. With such a piano a player could attain and extend his artistic potential and perhaps discover something new in the music he is playing.
