August Förster

August Förster has been making hand-crafted pianos in the German town of Lõbau, close to the Czech border, since 1859. August Förster is still today a family-owned company run by the fifth generation descendant of its founder. This continuity has allowed August Förster pianos to retain and develop their unique character over a period of more than 150 years. An August Förster piano is a European thoroughbred, with a distinctly traditional tone and solid design.

The August Förster factory produces just 110 grand pianos and 150 upright pianos each year, still employing time-honoured techniques. We at Florian Piano are proud to represent August Förster here in Brunei and we currently stock one of their remarkable instruments, a 125G upright in ebony polish.
