Second Hand Pianos

We stock a range of second hand pianos including a number of Yamahas and a selection of pianos for buyers on a smaller budget.

Budget second-hand pianos

Our budget used pianos are brands such as Young Chang, Ritmuller, Toyama and Hoffmann & Kuhne. Some of these pianos are as little as 10 years old and in almost new condition. These too are carefully overhauled by us to ensure a good level of performance. Prices usually vary between $2000 and $3000+ depending on the brand, model and condition. These pianos come with the offer of a 75% trade-in value valid for a three or four year period against the price of a new piano should the buyer wish to upgrade.

Occasionally we get in some more interesting used pianos including European brands. These generally have a more characterful tone. We currently have three such uprights: Weinbach (Czechoslovakia) , Furstein (Italy) and Rippen (Holland).

Our Yamahas are imported directly from Japan and are exclusively classic models such as the U1 and U3 from the 1970s. We do not sell cheaper models such as C108 and neither do we stock later models such as U30 or U300. All the pianos are thoroughly overhauled and components such as bass strings often replaced. These pianos are priced around $5000 - 6000.
